Booking Conditions for Excursions
|
|
BOOKING
All seats must be booked and paid for in advance at an office or
booking agent of Chenery Travel, or by telephone using a credit
card. Please note that fares DO NOT include meals or entrance fees
unless specifically stated. Coach seats are reserved at the time of
booking and early booking is advised if particular seats are
required. Chenery Travel reserves the unconditional right to alter
seating arrangements where necessary for operational reasons,
although this will be avoided where possible. Chenery Travel will not
be liable for any compensation in these circumstances. Chenery’s
Terms & Conditions of Sale are available on request but it must be
noted that smoking and the consumption of alcohol is expressly
forbidden on our coaches.
CANCELLATION BY THE CUSTOMER
Bookings may be cancelled by a customer provided that Chenery Travel
is notified more than 24 hours before departure and a refund of 75%
of the travel cost will be made. Where the fare includes theatre,
concert or entrance tickets, there will be no refund for the ticket
but again 75% of the travel cost may be refunded. Please note that
if a customer fails to give notification of at least 24 hours before
departure, there will be no refund.
CANCELLATION BY CHENERY TRAVEL
Chenery Travel will endeavour to operate all excursions but reserves
the right to cancel where there are insufficient bookings.
TICKETS
Tickets cannot be exchanged or money refunded unless the
Concert/Show/Sporting event is cancelled by the promoter. Chenery
Travel will not be liable for any compensation or damages, other
than a refund to the ticket holder of the face value or group purchase
price (whichever applies) of any tickets purchased less £3.50 Administration
Fee per ticket, for any cancelled performance.
JOURNEY TIMES
Chenery Travel gives advice on journey times in good faith but does
not guarantee return times which are only approximate. Furthermore
Chenery Travel does not accept liability for any loss or inconvenience
caused by delay or non-arrival resulting from breakdown or any other
cause. Chenery Travel does not accept responsibility for passengers
arriving late at the departure point as stated on the travel ticket,
or as directed by the driver/courier at comfort stops and for the
return journey. Whilst we will make every effort to locate missing
passengers, we will not be liable for the inconvenience and expense
arising from passengers missing the coach.
LOST PROPERTY
Chenery Travel will not accept liability for any loss or damage to
property belonging to any passenger left in a vehicle. All articles
of lost property recovered from a vehicle will be held for
collection for a period of three months, after which the items will
be disposed of by Chenery Travel, which shall have the right to retain
the proceeds of sale.
CHILD FARES & SENIOR FARES
The child rate applies to all children between the ages of 4 and 14
years at the time of travel. The senior rate applies to all passengers
over the age of 60 years at the time of travel. Child and senior rate
bandings for tickets may vary depending on the terms of the promoter.
EMERGENCY CONTACT
In the event of an emergency outside of office hours, Chenery Travel
may be contacted on 01379 741656.
